Confirming our report from June, Jordan Brand will be releasing an Air Jordan 6 Pinnacle inspired by Michael Jordan's 1991 appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Cues were pulled from the green satin jacket Jordan wore during his monologue. Additionally, the brand has created its own version of the jacket for a limited edition promo run that will likely be given to friends, family and tastemakers.

The "SNL" Air Jordan 6 Retro Pinnacle will release on Thursday, Sept. 28 for $225 at nike.com and select Jordan retailers.
